Kevlar HC
Kevlar’s exceptional toughness, low dielectric properties and low thermal conductivity make it a unique material for a variety of structural and dielectric applications, including radomes, bulkheads and structures which must resist high force impacts. Ultracor utilizes low moisture (LMR) Kevlar 49 that reduces Kevlar’s absorbtion of moisture by 50%.
The below data are on our standard Kevlar product; however, do not hesitate to inquire about custom sizes and configurations.
ULTRACOR® PRODUCT DESIGNATIONS
Ultracor® products are designated by use of a series of letters and numbers, as follows:
UCF-171-1/4-2.3, in which:
“U” represents Ultracor® HONEYCOMB
“KF” indicates that the material used is Kevlar Fiber
“171” determines the product code number under which the details of construction are documented.
“1/4” indicates a 1/4″ cell size.
“2.3” indicates a nominal density in pounds per cubic foot. (lbs/ft³)
